ARTHUR IRAWAN RESMI MAIN DAN ADA DI WEB ESPANYOL

Monday 30 January 2012

First official match of Irawan with Espanyol

The Indonesian player made his debut against Gramanet

Arthur Irawan, after some months of adaptation here as well as several friendly matches and training sessions, did finally make his debut with Espanyol Junior B team managed by Fran Navarro. The Indonesian player made his debut with the white and blue shirt on Sunday gone against Gramanet becoming the first Indonesian player to have ever played for Espanyol. Irawan wrote a new page in Indonesian football, although the worst of all was the final score, 3-0 for the local team.

Irawan started on the initial line-up side playing only the first half. The Indonesian player played ahead of the defenders line and he did pretty well in spite of the adverse score. The multi-purpose player was alright, performed a fairly good task in midfield even though he could not avoid his team’s defeat.

Irawan experience playing for Espanyol is the most important in his career so far. Arthur started playing in Yakarta at the age of 8 as many other youngsters and he attracted Manchester United attention when he was very young, but his family decided for him to carry on with his studies. He is now going through his first experience in European football.

His signing up for Espanyol created a great expectation in his homeland, Indonesia. The media dedicated plenty of attention to Arthur who was even one of the main protagonists in several programs back home. There is a sort of Irawan fever in Indonesia as many of his fellow citizens follow his adventure here with us. Irawan has completed a step forward in his career and his dreams are turning to be real.
